I see, a little change in tactics huh, MegaBushFan? Can't fool us to believe you so you try and instill fear? Wisdom begins with fear of God, MegaBushFan(tasy). I agree with mjdast, that we should work more on getting ourselves ready for judgement because each of us will see that day before the end times are here. How many people and how many times have they argued that the end is near? Of course it's near, our life expectancy is only about 80 years and that can be cut short at any second. Are you ready for your own personal endtimes? Is lying and distorting the Word getting you ready for your own personal endtimes? The world has been in bad shpe many times in our history and yet we are still here. These times are but a test to see where we stand in God's eyes, He has given us the opportunity to prove ourselves to Him and we are doing just that. We have risen to the challenge of stopping the murder of innocent babies and accomplished the first step in ending that practice. We have risen to the challenge of keeping His Word as our basic law so that this nation will honor Him. We fight that battle everyday. We have risen to defend countless numbers of helpless people in the Middle East and Africa, Asia, Europe, South America and here at home. We are showing God that we are worthy of the gifts he has bestowed upon us through his grace. Unless, of course, you see the world through the rose shade glasses of pessimists like John Kerry and the U.N. Then the world has no redeemable values whatsoever. Everything is doom and gloom. We are bad and so is everyone else. "A pessimist is one who makes difficulties of his opportunities. An optimist is one who makes opportunities of his difficulties." Unknown author. I don't believe that for one second! Yes, there are many problems we must face here in American and around the world. But, we are at last facing them and solving them one by one. God does not expect miracles from us, just that we try. Under our current leadership (that's the White House and Congress and most Governorships) we are trying more than we ever have in our history to come up with real solutions, not just feel-good ones that allow us to sleep at night. "Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win great triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat." -Theodore Roosevelt "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." -Martin Luther King Jr. The question is where do you stand? These are not the endtimes, even if they were, we would not know it. These are times of CHALLENGE and CONTROVERSY. And where do you stand? Do you stand with those that claim all is lost or those that stand up to the challenge and face it head on? Do you stand with those that say the end is near (all the while not knowing for sure) or with those that believe if you have made yourself ready, it doesn't matter when the end comes? Do you stand with the pessimist or the optimist. Which do you think Jesus was and is? When He was at His "endtimes" on Earth, do you think He was a pessimist or an eternal optimist, that He felt his phisical death would save us all? Don't come here and try to fool us with your false assuptions about prophesy! As Christians we have nothing to fear if we are personally ready. In fact, when the time does come, who knows when, we will be the ones rejoycing with God. So why all the pessimism? Quote of mocker: "These are times of CHALLENGE and CONTROVERSY. And where do you stand? Do you stand with those that claim all is lost or those that stand up to the challenge and face it head on?" David's reply: I am doing my part - at the cost of my life - to make sure liberty is restored for your children. My hope is that my Americans who also hold
a Biblical world view will take care to secure liberty at home. Though
we can all agree that nobody knows the day or time, let's not partner with
the scheme's of the evil one. Madison said, "securing liberty is the end
of government." Let us not employ our government for securing things that
at once destroy liberty.
