Subject: Religion Prohibiting Identification with A Social Security
Number
Dear: Congressman Hostettler;
I am grateful for your efforts to preserve our liberty to obey God without having to suffer punishment for it. I am prohibited from identifying with the SSN which is the number system described in Revelation, Ch. 13 & 14 (inter alia), "loving not my life even unto death" (Rev. 12). My motives are purely to obey God even at the cost of losing every earthly thing I have labored hard to obtain.
So far, I have suffered extreme hardship since forsaking the "Number
of the Beast".
1. My seventeen year career was taken from me just three
years short of retirement. (David Alan Carmichael v. United States,
U.S. Ct. Fd. Cl. 99-958C)
2. I cannot obtain employment.
3. I cannot get a business license.
4. I cannot vote.
5. I cannot purchase a firearm.
6. I may be losing my driver's license (the dispute with
DMV has not yet been resolved).
7. I may be losing my house within the next few months
because two months ago, one of the mortgage company clerks decided I would
be violating the law (I.R.S. code) if they allowed me to keep paying my
mortgage without identifying with an SSN. I only have 7 years of
payments remaining on the house and $50,000 in equity.
8. I cannot get a checking account.
9. I cannot cash checks.
10. The IRS won't accept my tax returns and they automatically
presume my tax return is false because I do not identify myself or my dependants
with SSN's. So far, the IRS has chosen not to prosecute me for their
claim that I should be punished for not associating myself with their numbers.
Actually, they owe me several thousand dollars in returns and credits.
11. I
cannot get a fishing or hunting license.
12. I
at one time was not allowed to pay personal property tax which was going
to result in my not being able to drive my car in my own home town.
After scores of hours spent corresponding and appealing to the tax commissioner,
he made his clerks stop treating me like dirt and allowed me to pay my
property tax without having to identify with the "Number of the Beast".
13. My credit card was just cancelled because an employee
decided they are not allowed to extend credit to me unless I gave them
a SSN.
The amount of money I have lost over this is in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. The worse thing is that the pressure keeps mounting and there is no end in sight. The key reason all of this is happening is because Congress (or whoever is really drafting the regulations) is making rules for banks, businesses, State agencies and even private citizens that make them exclude me from all those things necessary to life in America. You have required banks to ask for a number in nearly every banking transaction. Banks have then taken your marching orders and excluded people like me from engaging in activity that is vital to our very survival in this nearly completely cash-less society. Employers believe they must exclude people like me from employment. As with banks that I have talked to, employers base their excluding me on "Federal law requires us to obtain and use a number for reporting purposes." State driving, voting, fish and game and other agencies are excluding us from those activities because your regulations force them to require people to identify with an SSN. Because of the Commands of God which were written two thousand years ago, I cannot participate with or get any benefit from the Social Security Old Age Retirement Benefit Program. Contrary to the United States Constitution, Natural Law, Common Law, as well as State Constitutions and statutes, I, my family and those of my religious class are excluded from that which is necessary for survival. The challenge comes to us, Go ahead, obey God not only in word but in deed; but if you do, you will surely not vote, not work, not exchange money, not own property, not protect yourself and thus will ultimately face becoming homeless, malnourished and a societal outcast. But if you forsake the edict of God, you will work, vote, exchange money, own property, protect yourself and secure your life and happiness.
In conclusion, something much more drastic needs to be done. A
comprehensive law needs to be drafted which touches upon each of the issues
I have cited. Your attempt is at least a first step. I am available
at any time to assist you in communicating issues to Congress or drafting
a law that will secure my liberty so that I might not lose my life as I
have lost my livelihood.
Sincerely,
